Last updated: 17 August 2026 · Effective: 17 August 2026

Service Provider

TruePrice is operated by Mateusz Wyszogrodzki, a private individual residing at ul. Doroszewskiego 9/54, 93-140 Łódź, Poland. Contact: contact@truepriceapp.com. References in these Terms to "we", "us" and "TruePrice" mean the service provider.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using TruePrice, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TruePrice is a mobile application that helps travellers understand fair local prices for common purchases across countries. The app provides price comparisons, scam alerts, travel tips, a currency converter, a trip budget and expense tracker (including real-time shared trips), and AI-powered price checking and photo scanning.

TruePrice is available in two tiers: a free tier (with ads) and paid tiers (Supporter and Pro) that remove ads and unlock additional features.

3. Account

To access certain features (favourites sync, AI Price Check, Pro tier) you need to sign in: with Apple on iPhone, or with Google on Android. You are responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity that occurs under your TruePrice account. Please notify us immediately at contact@truepriceapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

TruePrice offers the following paid options, processed through Apple's App Store on iPhone and through Google Play on Android:

  • Supporter — a one-time purchase. Removes all ads permanently. No recurring charge.
  • Pro Monthly — monthly subscription. Removes ads and includes 40 AI Price Check queries per month. Renews automatically each month.
  • Pro Yearly — yearly subscription. Same benefits as Pro Monthly. Renews automatically each year.

Current pricing is shown in the store you buy from and varies by country under that store's regional pricing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Pro subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

To manage or cancel your subscription: on iPhone go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions; on Android open Google Play → your profile → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Select TruePrice.

5. Free Trial

TruePrice does not currently offer a free trial for paid tiers. All features of the free tier are available without payment.

6. Refunds

Purchases are processed by the store you bought from, and refund requests are handled by that store under its own refund policy. For App Store purchases, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play purchases, request a refund at Google Play's refund page. We are unable to issue refunds directly.

7. EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from digital content purchases. However, by initiating a subscription or one-time purchase in the App Store or on Google Play and confirming the purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive) and Article 38(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta z dnia 30 maja 2014 r.).

This waiver does not limit your rights under the refund policy of the store you purchased from (see Section 6).

8. AI Features (Price Check, Photo Scan, expense logging)

The AI features (AI Price Check, AI Photo Scan, and AI expense logging in the trip tracker) are available to Pro subscribers and share a monthly quota. When you submit a query, the text of your question and any photo you choose to scan (for example a menu, receipt, or price tag) are forwarded to a third-party AI provider (OpenRouter, powered by Google Gemini) for processing. Only scan photos you are entitled to capture, and do not upload other people's personal or payment data.

AI-generated responses are estimates only and do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice. Results may be inaccurate, outdated, or not applicable to your specific situation. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on AI output. TruePrice is not liable for any losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Access the app through automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts)
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
  • Abuse the AI feature (e.g., attempting to circumvent query limits, submitting harmful content)
  • Interfere with or disrupt our servers or infrastructure

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our servers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. You must cancel your Pro subscription separately, through iOS Settings on iPhone or through Google Play on Android, before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

11. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, or abuse paid features. Where reasonably possible we will notify you by email and give a reasonable opportunity to remedy. Active subscriptions terminated due to breach are not refundable outside the policies of the store you purchased from.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, code, and data within TruePrice are the property of the service provider and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app's content without prior written permission.

13. Price Data Disclaimer

All price data provided by TruePrice is for informational purposes only. Prices shown are approximate ranges based on research and may not reflect current local conditions. TruePrice does not guarantee that the prices you encounter will match those shown in the app. We are not responsible for financial losses arising from reliance on price data.

14. Limitation of Liability

TruePrice is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TruePrice and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to losses resulting from reliance on price data or AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under mandatory law.

15. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts competent for the seat of the service provider in Poland, except that consumers retain the right to bring proceedings before the court competent for their place of residence under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

EU consumers may also use the online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, as required by Regulation (EU) 524/2013.

17. Trip Tracker and Shared Trips

The trip budget tracker lets you record your own trips and expenses. The content you log is your responsibility, and the budget figures and any savings or price verdicts shown are informational estimates, not guarantees.

When you share a trip using an invite code, the expenses you log and your traveller display name become visible to everyone who joins that trip with the code. Only share an invite code with people you trust, and only log another person's data (for example by scanning a shared receipt) if you are entitled to do so. You are responsible for who you invite to a shared trip and for the content you contribute to it. We are not responsible for how other members of a shared trip use content you make visible to them.

18. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at contact@truepriceapp.com or by post at the address listed at the top of these Terms.
